Michael finds a way to overcome the loneliness of his absent father. Using imagination mixed with his mother's information, he devises a way he and his father might stay in touch when apart. But unbeknown to Mum, Michael has tried other ways to contact Dad. He writes a note and puts it in a bottle. Filling it with stones and putting on a top.
